  • “ 8 gigabytes is enough “ chrome : -and i took that personally-

  • this video aged like milk in sli microwaves...

  • casually explained: 8 gigs is enough Adobe: am I a joke to you? Everyone: YES

  • Well I'll have you know I have no graphics card thank you very much

  • 2016: 8gb is enough 2021: *16gb contantly in use and use over 32gb daily*

  • Last year I went into a shop and asked for a silent keyboard so my girlfriend wouldn't be bothered too much by my typing. He was stunned and said all people ever ask for is mechanical keyboards and no one had ever asked for a silent one.

  • I'm watching on a 1TB and 16 GB of ram widows 10 computer

  • Why does my bank account say zero?

  • CE: “I added a heat vent so I can cook hotdogs if I get hungry” KFC: Hold my chicken

  • Wheres the gaming chair and RGB? that adds at least 50% more power

  • Him: "Eight jiggly bits is definitely enough." Me: *laughs in 2007 cuz I can't afford a more recent punchline* 😥

  • Yo, the punch on "fill that area with screens" just obliterated my sides! 🤣

  • This is bs. Since when was it bad to have 1 gpu.

  • "all your components are obsolete" except the processor. that sh*t can last up to 8 years without getting obsolete if you change your other components according to your need.

  • This guy: 8 gigs of ram is enough Ubisoft: lol

  • 8 gb of RAM is enough but if i run a single 2080 then im a filthy casual? brUhH MOmeNt

  • I think my "bleep bloops" are not working.

  • I sent this to my dad and now he's even more confused

  • The RAM part aged like milk

  • 8 is enough Me with 8:can’t play modern or real complex stuff

  • FYI this is only partially informative, the rest is hopefully a joke. Sli and crossfire suck, most people only need like 500gb of storage, and you only need one monitor, but if you're doing work or games or anything with multiple tasks at the same time 2+ is always great

  • I remember when SLI was a thing.

  • "now that you have all of that set up, your components are now obselete" straight facts

  • This shows it’s age lmao

  • 1:42 Now kids in 2020 3 way - Sli is Dead 2-way Sli means that an another person didn’t get graphics card No Sli is the way of life

  • Make sure you use nuclear power

  • 8gb is enough ram... yikes

  • 0:29 Let's be honest, anyone with their hand on their mouse went to click Postpone.

  • Casually running with a nuclear core.

  • Wow so cool but is this video edible

  • I love my 8 gigs of ram and not bieng able to play minecraft

  • Funny xd both 8gb ram and sli/crossfire are obsolete

  • "8 Gbs of RAM is defenetly enough" Ah 4 years ago ; )

  • Imagine having 4 gigs of ram in a gaming computer now. That can’t even run modded Minecraft let alone any other ram intensive game.

    • I had 4 gigs in 2010 and it was pretty gaming tech

  • Ah yes, I too run *$4500TB* of storage

  • I still have 2 gb of ram in 2020 and an N2840 processor, though i only play old lightweight games so it's run fine, i'm not using chrome though

  • 16 gb of ram is enough now

  • You need 16 gigabytes of ram if you want to play any video game

  • Me watching this on my 2GB RAM!! laptop

  • 8GB of ram is not enough, with 16 you have all you need

  • And now that you're done, every component got a three times better version and you're 10,000 dollars in debt

  • i dont know what a grafics card is

  • 8 gigs of RAM is enough... wtf

  • now that you're done watching this video, this video is obsolete. SLI is currently pretty useless and you need at least 8 gigs of ram for every day use and 16 gigs for gaming

  • watching this in 2020 where SLI is dead

  • 1:22 laughs in 32gb

  • Pfft who needs power supplies

  • 4 gigs is enough Me: oh, yay! I have 4 gigs in my computer Checks comments and the date of release of this video My life so now forfeit

  • TO WHOEVER IS WATCHING THIS VIDEO, DO NOT BUY A COMPUTER WITH LESS THAT 16GB OF RAM IN IT

    • wrong, 8 is fine

  • Oh how the times have changed

  • I'm allowed to go off this video on building my first computer, right?

  • "8 gigs is definitely enough" laughs in 2020

    • @bathwaterlover 233 yeah i cant my pc breaks in half when i try to

    • @Reymii so you can’t play high demanding games

    • @bathwaterlover 233.. Are.. Are you blind? Did you not read anything I've said???

    • @Reymii so you can’t play any demanding games

    • @bathwaterlover 233 like I said 2 times, i play high end games really good with just 8 gigs

  • the hdd ssd one is pure shit

  • it has only been 4 years and a lot of what has been said is already out of date like saying 4gb is necessary or the fact that SLI is almost extinct

  • *uses 1080 and only 4gb ram*

  • Alternate ending: 'now that you're finally finished your setup you can post it on reddit and get called an idiot for your perfectly reasonable choices"

    • what do you mean your comupter only runs at 14 terashits per megafart?!?!?!?!?! you need at least 17 to run reddit and minecraft smoothly enough you incel!!! it only costs like $20000 and your family’s souls! what do you mean you cant afford it just ask your mom like i did she said i could get it as long as i went outside at least once per year, which while infuriating, isn’t too hard considering i have to step out of the car to go to five nights at freddys club anyway!

  • Since everybody and their little sister is posting the same thing I guess I'll join in: 8Gb?!? tHe RAM omG HahaHaAhha LauGhS iN cHaD tHaTs nOt eNoUgHhhhhhhhh 🤤

  • Thanks , I wanna learn about computers more than just watching youtube , u got a new sub

  • "so it's in fact not too uncommon to run 2 or 3 at the same time for better perfomance" well that didn't age well Edit: R.I.P SLI

  • I don't know how I feel about just now finding out people run multiple GPUs in computers

  • 8 is sometimes not enough, I would’ve definitely gone 16 or 32

  • Yike..

  • 1:46 is complete irrelevant now

  • Omg this is an old video and his voice 🙀🙀🙀

  • The only thing I don’t agree with is the ram 8 is all you need 16 is enough in 2020 at least

  • *laughs on laptop*

  • i mean the last point really does it

  • omg when he said all you need for RAM is 4GB i so suprised like bruh WArzone taking up like 13GB

  • The last sentence...

  • “And 8 gigs is definitely enough” *cries in Chrome

  • That moment when you have 64gb of ram

  • *C O N F U S E D L A P T O P N O I S E S*

  • Can I fry some eggs on the processor thing? It gets really hot

  • Instructions unclear, built a car

  • The unkempt apparel continuously thaw because tramp quickly grease notwithstanding a overjoyed quarter. truculent, ritzy coke

  • sooooooo about the 8 gigs being enough and about sli, well....

  • Eww why an Intel cpu

    • because intel is fine??

    • 2016 was Intel very good

  • The proporcions here is verry accurate

    • no shit moron

  • This is very outdated lol

  • SLI is dead 😭

  • computers changed a lil didn’t they

  • “It is best to run 2 or 3 cards in SLI” RTX 3090: *ha ha SLI go boom*

  • Update plz

  • This video has somehow aged well because it hasn't aged well. It's like the joke about how your computer is obsolete by the time you build it, but the same logic applies to the video. And if he ever made an updated version of this video it would also just become outdated within a year or two.

  • The days where you only had a good rig with SLI... nowadays youre better off without SLI xD

  • this hasn't aged well

  • im watching this in 2020 and now you need at least 16 gigs of ram

    • nope, u dont

  • 1:20 me with 32

  • Wait i don't get the girls joke??? Is it like about EX's?

  • oh god i have nightmares that i have 4gb of ram

  • Funny thing is most games don't even take advantage of sli

  • That ending though

  • Best 2:28 sec of my life

  • here is my 2020 spec recommendation. believe it or not, you don’t actually need a nasa computer to run modern games. for most people an 800 dollar gaming laptop could do, or you could get a starter gaming desktop for about 600 dollars. i started on one of these starter desktops and i like them because although they aren’t super highly speced at first they make it very easy to upgrade as you start to run more heavy games, with available ram slots and easy video cars exchange. if you are building your own computer i have another section for that. -building your own computer- if your just doing an office desktop then honestly 4-8 gb of ram, chrome eats up a lot but it’s better than those awful chrome books with ridiculous lag even typing in an online document. as for gaming, if you just want to play lighter games, 8 gb is easily enough. for the longest time i was using an 8gb computer and ran my favorite games on it no sweat. if you want to run heavier games like call of duty, i recommend a minimum of 16 and a recommended of 24-32. for VRAM just get your standard 4-8 gb and that should serve you well for the most part. also a little tip, i recommend AT LEAST 1-2 terabytes of internal storage as games are very storage heavy these days. my friend told me if he only got a 256gb laptop then he would be able to get one with more ram and i said no you need that space. even though you can go to cosco and just get a chunky 4 terabyte drive you need that internal storage for a lot of your core files and games, plus if your someone who travels a lot and has a laptop you don’t want to have to haul around an external drive everywhere. so yeah 1-2 terabytes, you can always install more later. for video card i personally use amd however many people prefer nividia so it’s really your choice. i recommend the website can you run it (system requirement labs.com) you can find your favorite games and see what video card you need for it. you basically want a video card that can run the current games you play, along with being able to run a bit more so that even as you get into heavy games your video card will still serve you well. if you need to cheap out on ram or video that’s more up to you it kinda depends on what you play. for example the game cities:skylines isn’t very video card heavy but is VERY ram heavy, especially once you get into modding and have around 4000 mods loaded at all times like how i have mine. but if you play more graphics heavy shooters or games like microsoft flight simulator those are more focused on your video card. as for your processor i would get 3.5 ghz-5.0 but for this one do be thinking into the future because to replace the processor you might as well replace the entire thing. a computer has its processor for life. FINAL THOUGHTS: you don’t need a ridiculous computer, but the components that you don’t cheap out on depends on the games you play. if you don’t want to hear me babbling on about computers i would check out systemrequirementlabs.com (or just search can you run it) and find the specs of the games you want to play. this took a while, feel free to correct me if you want edit: i got the url wrong so just search can you run it and you should find it that way.

  • So you want a 3 way sli with 8gigs of ram... get at least 16 man

  • Dude sli is basically useless

  • ‘8 is definitely enough’ Me with 40gb

  • 16 gb. Better now. These days... 🏃🏻

    • @channelix l right, but i mean, those nvidia features are TASTY doe

    • 5700xt is not obsolete lol
